Kayaking in Costa Rica

Come join Outdoor New England (ONE) for a kayaking experience that has been tailored specifically for kayakers and their spouses. This trip is in partnership with Costa Rica Amazing Vacations.

The purpose of this destination trip is to provide daily kayaking excursions, but also for your spouse or significant other, there will be fantastic activities for non-paddlers so that everyone can experience the best of Costa Rica!

Kayaking Details
We will paddle the Pacuare and Pejibaye Rivers with 2 days on the famous Laberinto section of the Pacuare. This section is typically not offered but through special arrangements with Amazing Vacations we are able to spend 2 days exploring this class IV boulder garden.

We’ve also included 2 nights in the excusive Rios Lodge which is right on the banks of the Pacuare River. Most trips only do a single night here but we wanted to have time to relax an enjoy this jungle paradise. There you will be staying at the eco hostel, it has bunkrooms sleep 6-8 guests in fully screened rooms. This room has private shower stalls and common lounge and dining areas.

While at the Rios Lodge we will paddle three sections of the Pacuare River; Laberinto, Upper Section, and Lower Section

The trip will begin with a warm up on the Pejibaye River.

Significant Other Details
AKA Non-Paddlers will have activities every day and rejoin the paddlers to share stories. Activities will include padding duckies, the CATIE Botanical Gardens, La Marta Wildlife Refuge and Rafting the Pacuare River from the Rios Lodge.

The trip will include transfer from San Jose Airport, lodging, food, kayak equipment rental and transportation within Costa Rica. Everything you will need to have a great trip is covered.

The cost of the trip is $2,799 and we need a deposit of $452.20 by Oct 31 to secure a spot on this adventure. The balance is due by Dec 1.
